Caps23
Hi friends I need your suggestions please I received invitation for chef with 75 points. But one of my 457 nomination was as cook. So can I count that as my experience?

wrussell
Possibly yes if you were qualified as a chef at the time and were performing the duties of a chef, notwithstanding your job title, in which case the issue of why you were not working in your nominated occupation might arise. Caps23
Thanks wrussell. I was qualified as chef at that time but my employer nominated me as cook to pay less salary. But while giving reference he mentioned me as chef
wrussell
From what has been recently posted, the issue might come down to a question of whether you had a visa that allowed you to perform the work for which you are claiming points. You should run this past a registered migration agent who, to offer a considered professional opinion, would have to review your work experience claims and the relevant documents. Any of the RMAs who regularly post on this forum could advise you.
