elbow271 Posted March 14, 2018 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Hi guys, i am applying for a partner visa and am confused about how to provide witness statements for the relationship, from friends and family. I have seen that people will use the 888 form even though those witnesses are not Australian or 'in' Australia. The 888 form specifically states only to be used by Australians. Can anyone advise if this form is still OK to use, or is there another form that can be used for witness statements from people that live in the UK?Any advice is much appreciated Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sara Gan Posted April 24, 2018 Share Posted April 24, 2018 Hi If you are not in Australia, 888 can still be used, and the person that completes the form does not need to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident. However the person completing the form must know both the applicant and the sponsor. Hope this clarifies your query.
