Mom on 457
Hi friends. I am on 457 labour agreement for at least a year this date. It required at least 4 years minimum work with the sponsoring company before I can be sponsored for permanent residency under transition stream. With the abolition of 457 visa, how can have this impact my future PR application 3 years from now since my occupation is a caveat under the STSSOL (of the new TSS system). Another thing, as I need to further my temporary visa before I can meet the 4 years required minimum employment. What impact can this change do in my visa extension? Would I be only given the allowed extension under the STSSOL without pathway to PR or could I still pursue for PR after given a visa extension? Thanks. I just wanted to know your views as I have my kids also at stake.
