  1. Hi friends. I am on 457 labour agreement for at least a year this date. It required at least 4 years minimum work with the sponsoring company before I can be sponsored for permanent residency under transition stream. With the abolition of 457 visa, how can have this impact my future PR application 3 years from now since my occupation is a caveat under the STSSOL (of the new TSS system). Another thing, as I need to further my temporary visa before I can meet the 4 years required minimum employment. What impact can this change do in my visa extension? Would I be only given the allowed extension under the STSSOL without pathway to PR or could I still pursue for PR after given a visa extension? Thanks. I just wanted to know your views as I have my kids also at stake.
  2. Hi steph01. Thanks, it really gives me relief with hearing your experience. May I ask if you have used the service of a migration agent or have you applied yourself?
  3. Hi. Has anyone experienced processing a family member, a child, who has had one mild twitching with unknown cause once but has now been seizure free for 2 years with medications tapering already? Can anyone enlighten me as to the outcomes anyone has had for a child's visa approval and approval for residency in the future? Thanks so much.
  4. Thanks Quoll. I'm enlightened by your thought. They are 7,4 and 2.
  5. Hi. I would like to ask what advantages it has, aside from physical reunification, bringing now my 3 kids as 457 dependents as to bringing them only during until approved with the transition stream pathway? Does my kids stay in Australia prior to PR application matters to PR approval? Thank you.
  6. Thank you for the response. I am under the labour agreement (Pork Industry). My co workers said i need to wait for my 4 years (also the length of my contract) before I can apply for permanent residency.
  7. The recent 457 changes gives me confusions to how my plans for permanent residency for my family can be realized. Been working on 457 visa for 6 months. Is there a way I can apply for PR before March 2018 since by then, more of the changes will be implemented on the pathways available? My skill is in the caviat list related to farming in regional australia and under a labour agreement. Is it already feasible to talk with my employer about ENS or RSMS pathway given I only have worked for 6 months still and have the application started?
  8. Hi. I have been on 457 visa since September 2016. Can I still proceed with my children's visa application as dependants? I have lodged my husband's visa application since February this year and up to now no response yet. My occupation is on the caveat list although I am working in a skill required in Regional Australia. I hope you can shed light on the matter. As I have gotten this job not to be separated from my husband and children. Thanks.
