karenchoward Posted August 19, 2017 Share Posted August 19, 2017 Hello there! I'm just wondering if anyone in Oz can tell me how things are going in the hospitality management job market? I've worked for McDonald's for almost 23 years being a business manager for 10, have a foundation degree in business management, just scored 8.5 on my IELTS test, but due to my work experience I can't get in even though there are hundreds of jobs that need filling as under the new changes I'm classed as retail management. My question is whether the industry is struggling to fill positions and if they are wanting the government to change who can apply for them when the lists are updated in January.
