I am classed as a Civil Engineering Draughtsman, but it shouldn't be too different from me. I accepted the state sponsorship then got offered to apply for the 190 visa instantly. dannycox1 Posted March 4, 2018 Share Posted March 4, 2018 Hi I am a qualified civil engineer to IEng level in the UK however the Engineers Australia skills assessment classes me as an Engineering Technologist which seemed pretty odd to me at the time. However we submitted the 189 in November 2017 on 70 points and the 190 to NSW on 75 in Feb 2018. Up to yet we've heard nothing. one question I do have is if I become chartered this year in the U.K. Would it be worth running the skills assessment again as in the hope of being classed as a Civil Engineer by EA?
