Choose the 190 Sate Nomination visa. It is the same, you just have to pick a state and live there for 2 year as a moral obligation. Doing it this way gets you 5 extra points. I was struggling to hit 60 points as an engineer. I had 55. I chose NSW as my state for the 190 and got an invite within a week and lodged my visa. The 5 points could make all the difference

I am hoping someone could help clear something up for me. My current 417 visa ends towards the end of December, I am currently on a bridging visa while a 190 visa gets assessed. Would I be on my 417 visa until it ends or the bridging visa? Would I be able to leave the country and come back before my 417 ends? I read that I need a bridging visa B to leave the country, but I was hoping I could leave for a holiday and come back before my 417 was due to end. Hope someone can help Thanks

I received an invite with the same points within a week. I am classed as a Civil Engineering Draughtsman, but it shouldn't be too different from me. I accepted the state sponsorship then got offered to apply for the 190 visa instantly. Now I have lodged it all and the wait begins
