Relocating

Hi @sunshinedawn firstly congratulations on the job. It is a long way to come for 12 months but then I'm sure you have already thought of this.

I use to be a relocation agent in Melbourne and offered a variety of services, the ones my clients found most helpful was picking them up from the airport, organising them a short term rental and hire car. Taking them for a tour around a number of suburbs (we would provide a number of information packs on each suburb and schools etc so they could narrow down where they wanted to be) we would also arrange viewings for their long term rental, take them to Medicare and VicRoads for their driving license.

I would think it's very reasonable to ask what help your relocation agent will be providing, I've heard some who just basically organise someone to pick you up from the airport.

I don't live in Melbourne anymore but if I can help answer any questions don't hesitate to ask.
