Stambar
We have been granted a 489 visa which stipulates we must make a first entry to the country by May this year. It allows us multiple entry to travel in and out of the country and is valid until July 2020. We entered the country for a holiday and bit of a reci in October last year following the visa grant. We didn't do anything to contact immigration or anything at the time as assumed just by arriving in Oz it would validate the visa and count as that first entry. Does anyone know if that's the case? I am now getting nervous that it won't count and we'll suddenly loose our visa come May. Should we have signed anything or done anything different that would activate the visa? VERYSTORMY
That is all fine. The moment you pass through immigration at the airport your arrival is logged against your passports and therefore your visas automatically.
Stambar
Thank you. I downloaded the my vivo app and was expecting something to change on there to confirm we had made first entry but it still says May against first entry date. I was starting to worry that we'd have to squeeze in a trip back between now and May. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
