Hubby and I have our PR and live here in Aus, we were wondering if we obtained a uk passport for our baby would baby be allowed back in to Australia? If your child is an Australian citizen, s/he must obtain an Australian passport to enter Australia. If s/he had a UK passport, s/he would need a a visa to enter Australia, which she could not be granted if s/he is an Austalian citizen. wrussell Posted February 16, 2017 Share Posted February 16, 2017 If your child was born in Australia and at least one parent was an Australian citizen, or permannt resident at the time, then your child is an Australian citizenby birth.
