Guest jezzagibbo
I hope someone can help us out. We are moving back to the UK on August 1 and have a newborn baby - we haven't got her birth certificate yet (delays in the registration office apparently) and are unlikely to have her UK passport sorted (delays in processing apparently) before travelling (but will have her aussie done). Does anyone know what will happen to us on arrival in the UK? I hope she can get a temp visa until we get her UK passport sorted - does anyone have any experience or advice on this? Cheers Jezzagibbo

Guest YellowGecko
Hello, We are of a similar situation; recently had a baby and are heading back to UK to live. Because I am a UK Citizen, our baby's entitled to a UK Passport, even though she was born (and her birth registered) in Oz. So we have just applied to the British Embassy in Canberra for her Passport. UK in Australia - the British High Commission in Australia Maybe you could do the same if you are UK Citizen, then your baby won't need a Visa. Good luck with bubs!
