The Raillys
We arrived three weeks ago, and surprisingly the cats are totally at home in our temporary accommodation. We now have a rental for a year, and I want to update the cats Uk microchips to our new address. I looked online and there seems there is not one central microchip database! There are multiple databases, 5 i think! I have emailed both http://www.petregister.com.au http://www.australiananimalregistry.com.au but have not had replies from either yet. Has anyone else updated their pets microchip details? Thanks
Guest The Pom Queen
You also have central animal records and the national pet register. At the veterinary hospital we used CAR. The council used NPR. If we ever got a chip to scan we would look at those two registers. You will need to take your pet to the vets for them to complete a form for you. calNgary
Agree with the above, in that most vets check both registrys if your pet is found. I had to change chip details for both my dogs and went with the AAR as the vet recommended it. Cal x
