My file has been allocated to CO yesterday and CO asked to show funds. My question is can I show my mother in law's finances from India? Or only my parents are allowed to show? Thanks in advance. Request Detail Financial capacity Provide evidence of funds to support yourself and all family unit members during the first 12months of your proposed study and stay in Australia, or during your entire proposed studyand stay in Australia if it is less than 12 months. In order to meet expenses for course fees, living costs, school costs and travel costs, youneed to demonstrate that you have access to $48,915.00. Evidence of financial capacity includes: ●●●● Money deposit with a financial institutionLoan with a financial institutionGovernment loans; and Scholarship or financial support Evidence of annual income of the primary applicant’s spouse or parents can also be used to show financial capacity. The evidence of annual income must be provided in the form ofofficial government documentation, such as a tax assessment and must have been issued inthe 12 months immediately before the application is made. ●● For an individual applicant, evidence of annual income of $ 60,000 For an application that includes family members, evidence of annual income of $ 70,000 The funds shown in the visa application must be available for use to financially support youand any accompanying family members during your stay in Australia. If the funds are heldin an account owned by another person, you should provide a signed letter from that personstating that the money is released to you to spend on your studies. You should also providea copy of identification for that person showing their full name and signature, such as apassport or national identity card. Providing documents If you lodged your application online you may log back into your account at any time andattach further documents. Ensure that all original documents are scanned in high quality andcolour. Do not send us original documents unless we ask you for them. If you send copies of yourdocuments, ensure that they are certified copies. If you provide us with fraudulent documents or claims, this may result in processing delaysand possibly your application being refused. Translating your documents Documents in languages other than English should be accompanied by an Englishtranslation. The English translations must be official certified translations from a NationalAccreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) accredited translator.Translations provided by non-accredited translators outside Australia should be endorsedby the translator with their full name, address, telephone number, and details of theirqualifications and experience in the language being translated. if the copy is certified outside Australia: ● ● a person who is the equivalent of a Justice of the Peace or Commissioner forDeclarations in that place (for example a public notary); or a registered migration agent (whose registration is not suspended or subject to acaution). Certified copies For the purposes of the migration legislation, a document is to be certified in writing as a truecopy of the original document by: if the copy is certified in Australia: ●●● ● a Justice of the Peace; or a Commissioner for Declarations; or a person before whom a statutory declaration may be made under the StatutoryDeclarations Act 1959 (for example a nurse, legal practitioner, medical practitioner,pharmacist or dentist); or a registered migration agent (whose registration is not suspended or subject to acaution). The amount requested and some other documents may be used to support genuine access to the funds to meet the visa criterion clearly been pointed out by the CO in the letter of request.
