Larad86 Posted August 1, 2016 Share Posted August 1, 2016 I'm in the process of completing our police checks for myself and my partner in preparation for our 189 visa. I have a clear record but my partner was cautioned about 11 years for handling stolen goods but nothing came of it and he was cautioned and sent home and nothing further came of it. He has no record of this nor does he remember receiving any documentation. My question we have no details of this caution if he ever did get one and my other question is will this have a huge impact on our application for the visa?? Please help!!! Liam13 Posted August 1, 2016 Share Posted August 1, 2016 Put a cover letter with the details of what happened with an explanation that it was out of character and would never think of doing something like that again.. It was just a mistake. I also had 2 cautions on my record. I explained what happened with a cover letter and showed regret the main thing is that your honest with the cover letter, they can ask for more info if they feel the need Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
