Claros
For Skilled Nominated Visa 190 – New South Wales, as internal auditor, I am eligible to receive 5 points for Partner Skills if: - my occupation (internal auditor - 221214) is on the NSW 190 Priority Skilled Occupation List (NSW 190 List). - my partner is under 50, have competent English and had been assessed by the relevant assessing authority as having suitable skills for the nominated occupation (Economist – 224311 - CSOL) but his occupation is not on the same skilled occupation list as my nominated occupation - NSW 190 Priority Skilled Occupation List; - from July 2015, the NSW 190 program has two streams: Stream 1: occupations on the NSW 190 Priority Skilled Occupation List (NSW 190 List) Stream 2: very highly ranking candidates in CSOL occupations*
MaggieMay24
To claim partner points, you must both have occupations on the same DIBP occupation list (SOL or CSOL). Your partner's occupation doesn't need to be on the state occupation list.
Claros
Thanks you for your prompt replay. So, if my occupation is Internal auditor (221214) and my partner`s occupation is Economist (224311) are from the CSOL, we can claim points for Partner Skills for subclass 190, nominated by New South Wales. But if I`ll apply for Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) as Internal auditor (221214), can I claim points for Partner Skills? * Internal auditor (221214) is from SOL / Economist (224311) isn`t from SOL * Internal auditor (221214) and Economist (224311) are both from CSOL

Claros
Thanks again. You are very kind and patient but I still need one more answer. For Skilled Nominated Visa 190 (New South Wales) as internal auditor (221214), am I eligible to receive 5 points for Partner Skills? * my occupation - Internal auditor (221214) is on the NSW 190 Priority Skilled Occupation List (NSW 190 List) / partner`s occupation - Economist (224311) isn`t on the NSW 190 Priority Skilled Occupation List (NSW 190 List) * Internal auditor (221214) and Economist (224311) are both from CSOL
