189 visa application

Recommended Posts

I would really appreciate some advice.

I am in the medical profession and I applied for a 189 visa and unfortunately I received a refusal and the reason given was that I didn't have a full skill assessment from AHPRAH at the time of EOI application ( as I thought it had to be from AMC and RACGP). I now have a provisional Skills assessment from them and I have had a birthday so lost some points however according to the scoring calculators it says I still have enough to apply for 189 again.

My rejection letter doesn't mention anything about baring me from reapplying or gives a waiting period and I would like to confirm that I can as I would hate to waste another fee.

Appreciate any help. Thanks in advance

It looks as if you might have been badly advise about the different criteria for medical specialists cf. general practitioners.

You are not barred from reapplying, but I suggest you consult a registered migration agent to make sure you are on the right track.
