Dan Mika
Dear All, I am applying for a 189 visa and my wife who is Swiss will accompany me on that visa. She is a qualified Anaesthetist but the recognition for that is likely to take quite some time. I was wondering if she will be able to work in the meantime but in another profession or related job, obviously not as a Doctor but something paid ? Any knowledge gratefully received. Thanks
JetBlast
She will get her own visa as well. She will not have restrictions and she can work.

ricco56
The 189 is a permanent visa and is granted to you as the primary applicant and to members of your family who were included in your original application. On grant you are both permanent residents with all the rights, entitlements and responsibilities associated with that status.
