Nicki Morgan
Could someone clarify for me if the test can be done by writing it all in capitals or not? My husband is sitting the test and just wondered. TIA
Becks22
I would think not. I have done the exam but can't imagine that this would get good marks on writing. Some of it is just selecting the right box (eg listening) but the writing is looking for different things and writing in capitals the whole way through would not be acceptable in most academic situations so can't see it being a good thing here. TIA Yes, have a look at https://www.ieltsessentials.com/global/ieltshome/faqs/takingthetest (Q11 - Can I write in capital letters) http://takeielts.britishcouncil.org/prepare-your-test/test-day-advice/writing-test-advice etc Although I have read an (unofficial) site that says cursive (joined up) and printing (not joined up, but using correct capitalization) is fine, but recommend against writing entirely in capitals.
