Visa 103

Can I apply for Visa 103 (Which takes 30 years) and then go to Australia and apply for a bridging visa to cover me until my visa comes through?

I am 63 and desperate.

Hi Keith.

Unfortunately no, you can't.

A BV is issued once you have made a valid application onshore (in Australia); a subclass 103 visa is not an onshore visa.

Is possibly best to wait until you are 65 and then consider a subclass 804 Aged Parent visa.

Best regards.
