Renew ACS application OR Apply for a new application

Hello Everyone,

 

My ACS assessment has expired last month (30 Sep 2015).

 

In the assessment regarding my experience as an IT professional, a statement was stated as below:

 

"employment after March 2012 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately skilled level and relevant to 261312 (Developer Programmer)"

 

Since I am planning to apply for renewal of ACS assessment, I am quite hopeful that till March 2016, my experience will be counted as 4 years.

 

My question is:

Should I apply for the renewal of my application OR apply a new application ?

 

The reason is that I want to claim some extra experience which as not considered at skilled level in my previous application.

(Note: Just to mention that I have been working in an information technology company as a programmer since 2009. In my last assessment, ACS did not count the time period between 2009 till 2012)

 

If I can get 1 year more experience assessed as professional level, 5 years experience will provide some extra points towards immigration.
