Ashleyj130
Hi there, I have returned back to the uk after spending 2 years in Australia working and travelling and i have absolutely fallen in love with the country. My mother emigrated out there a few years ago and has just become a citizen. I didn't go out with her at that time due to situations in the UK. I was just wondering if there is any chance that she could sponsor me to live out there? We have been through the Australian gov website and they dont really give you that much in depth information and i hear that the laws are changing out there to limit the amount of people bringing family over. I was also wondering about my age and work situation. I am 22 years old and i have no skilled work behind me. I do however work full time and have never claimed benefits (just thought i would add that haha) Thanks. Ashley.
amibovered
Hello, I don't think your mum would be able to sponsor you as such, I imagine you'd have to get a visa in your own right. however plenty of people on here will be able to give you advice, hopefully there may be a way, in the meantime have you looked here http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/visa-finder?Nationality=All
CaptainC
The only visas that I can think of, for a person without the required skills for a skilled visa, are student visas. After completing studies, you may be able to gain a qualification to go onto a skilled visa providing that the occupation that you qualify for is on the Skilled Occupation List (SOL) or Consolidated Skilled Occupation List. There are no visas that your mum can sponsor you for, as you are no longer her dependant. What about your current qualifications? Do you have a degree or a diploma in any subject? wrussell
From what you have posted, your visa prospects to not look immediately promising, but there might be viable strategies open to you. May I suggest that you take some professional advice from a registered migration agent?
