I am shipping goods in a 40ft Hi Cube, in there is 1400cuft of personal belongings, and a VW Campervan (Kombi). This just about fills the container, as they won't fill the area either side of the vehicle due to risk of damage. I have been looking at each of the quotes today in more detail, and I'm getting to the bit around Marine Insurance, which I can see is 3% of the value you require to replace your belongings, or insure specific items (need guidance on this issue also) What did you do, use the shipping companies, or take out your own through an independent company?
