Guest choobs
Gaaah! Ok, so I hired a car yesterday for our exciting adventure to Glasgow. Condor, in their infinite knowledge and wisdom, put a pre-authorisation block of 200UKP on our debit card ( a visa electron) which I've only now discovered will take five working days to clear. Bugger - we leave in one working day! I don't want to faff about transferring a couple of hundred quid to myself via paypal or something - does anyone know if I'll be able to use my visa electron to make a withdrawal from a hole-in-the-wall in Australia? Cheers Choobs
Guest austibeach
Not quite sure about the Electron part, but we have used the visa before ...no probs. Eric.

Cheers Choobs No probs Choobs... Visa Electron works just fine. Holes in the wall here are different though... they offer 3 choices when you stick your card in: Savings Cheque Credit (Actually... card in - PIN number... then "which Account" ... then "withrawal / balance / whatever....) Electron is counted as a cheque account... so press the cheque button. 8)
