Peaches1990
Sorry if this has been posted before!! We lodged our EOI in June with 60 points which are made up as follows: Age 25 - 32 30 English Language Ability Superior 20 Years of experience in aNominated Occupation- overseas within thelast 10 years. Equal to or greater than 5 Years and less than 10 years. 8 Years 10 TOTAL 60 We're a bit confused whether we can claim another 10 points for Qualifications?! This is how its stated on the immi website:

An award or qualification recognised by the assessing authority in the assessment of the skilled occupation 10

Now when my other half did his skills assessment, Vetasses awarded him a MEM30205 Certificate III in Engineering- Mechanical Trade. It says it is recognised withing the Australian Qualifications Framework. This was as a result of submitting evidence that he has: NVQ 3 in electricity system technology engineering City & Guilds 3 in Electrical Technology Engineering NVQ 2 in Performing Engineering Operations NEBOSH Certificate in occupational health and safety Can anyone advise if this would qualify for those 10 points?! Thanks!!! Edited July 8, 2015 by Peaches1990
Lasanga Herath
point allocated to recognized qualifications is 15 not 10. Seems that you can claim 5 points out of 15. (Certificates)
