Medical Results

It isn't normak to obtain results per se, nobody will contact you about them specifically unless there is a problem. For many people they will do the medical and next thing they hear is visa grant, all being well with medicals of course. I would expect a few weeks in between.

You might see medicals being finalised on your online account, then again you might not as it requires somebody going along and updating and that doesn't always happen.

H i Bungo Thanks for your quick response, we dont apply for the visa till first week in July, hopefull all will be well

Is there any reason you did the medicals first? Is something worrying you? Very unusual to do things that way around.

Hmm ok. Well I kind of retract my previous comment, I had assumed you were just going through the process as normal. I don't know how you will find out your result in this case. Hopefully someone else can help.

If there was an issue at the time of the medical, the doctor would have provided you with a referral to follow up with more info from your own medical team/GP/Gastro specialist etc. you would have been given 28 days to provide that info for the immigration dept.

That you haven't mentioned this probably means that there is nothing to worry about.

I'm interested in this, too...

I'm presently on a 457 in Australia, applying for a 186, which my agent is due to lodge in August.

My family and I will be having our medicals in a week's time, at a BUPA office in Sydney (so the medical/chest X-ray, and HIV test).

I'd like to understand whether any issues would be flagged at that time, incl. from the X-ray, BEFORE my agent then lodges a visa application (at great expense!).

The concept of paying to lodge a visa and THEN finding there is an issue fills me with concern!

Thanks - Steven.
