kateNollie
Who have you used for shipping insurance of items travelling Oz to UK? Is it possible to only insure certain items. Only really want to cover the bedroom furniture and the sofa. Have no intention of insuring the old TV or crappy dining room table etc. TIA
kateNollie
Has anyone shipped a container and insured nothing?
Bungo
You can insure on an itemised basis. Also we considered total loss insurance, which means insurance if the entire container goes overboard or catches fire, but not insurance for damage to specific items. We looked into this as we have moved a few times and if we had to replace the lot it would be very expensive but we are really not too fussy over whether a cup or a plate is broken. tony fluff
Letton Percival are the ones most people recommend on here and I am in the process of using them. Cheaper than shipping companies. You can insure whatever you want and just put a figure on it, we have done a 13000 pounds to insure and just put on form 1000 bedroom,2000 sofa, etc. you can be more specific if you want. 13000 pounds is costing about 200-300 pounds off the top of my head
