frankiehp79 Posted May 22, 2015 Share Posted May 22, 2015 Hi All I land in Sydney on the 18th August (eek!) with the other half and 7 year old daughter. In the UK I am a Legal Executive (qualification not recognised in Oz) and have practiced in personal injury for 18 years. I'm not too fussed abut practicing as such and would be happy with a Paralegal/Secretarial role. I have been in touch with a couple of agencies one of whom said jobs come up in personal injury all the time but I would be best applying direct to the firms (begs the question why they bother being a law recruitment agency!) so I just wondered whether anyone works in the legal industry in Sydney and had any tips/advice to help me get a foot in the door? I suppose if you don't have any personal contacts would start applying. Would also look at careers on firms websites, although you have probably done this already.
