Hi All I land in Sydney on the 18th August (eek!) with the other half and 7 year old daughter. In the UK I am a Legal Executive (qualification not recognised in Oz) and have practiced in personal injury for 18 years. I'm not too fussed abut practicing as such and would be happy with a Paralegal/Secretarial role. I have been in touch with a couple of agencies one of whom said jobs come up in personal injury all the time but I would be best applying direct to the firms (begs the question why they bother being a law recruitment agency!) so I just wondered whether anyone works in the legal industry in Sydney and had any tips/advice to help me get a foot in the door? Any assistance much appreciated. Thank you

Me (Frankie) husband (Anthony) and 7 year old daughter (Macie) are flying into Sydney on the 18th August. I'm a Legal Executive and my husband is an IT Team leader. Currently obtaining shipping quotes whilst panicking about the logistics and the lack of jobs on arrival, but hoping the move will be plain sailing :wacko:
