Sarah Louise Heath
Hi everyone, I am a permanent resident here in Aus. My parents have been out on a normal tourist visa a couple of times to visit. In January 2016, they want to come and stay for over 3 months, probably 6 ish months. i have looked on DIBP website and it talks about 6 and 12 month visas. my questions are: can they apply now for travelling here in Jan 2016? do they have to have health check? do they have to have health insurance? do they have to have proof of being able to support themselvrs? i could see this on the their info on the website, where they are talking about an extended stay - are the 6 & 12 months visas classed as extended stay? Is there anything else they have to do? has anyone used this or know of people applying for this visa before? Were there any difficulties? my parents will be 67 and 70 when they arrive, in good health and retired. thanks in advance sarah x
MARYROSE02
I had a look on the Immi site and I assume it is a 600 visa http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/600.aspx?AdditionalQuestion1=a%20family-sponsored%20holiday&=true http://www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/enablers/medicare/reciprocal-health-care-agreements/health-care-for-visitors-to-australia
