Ambrose
Hi all, I'm off to Aus on Holiday soon and whilst I'm there I will be checking out potential places of employment. Whilst I understand this is "frowned upon" by the authorities I'd much prefer to Phone and potentially meet in person my places of interest to get initial feedback before e-mailing/posting/handing over a CV. Now the problem is when out there on my normal UK phone contract that would cost a small fortune (I've checked the Roming Charges for my provider). So is it best to: a) Get a dirt cheap phone here then a PAYG sim card on arrival? b) Get a dirt cheap phone in AUS with a PAYG sim card? My dirt cheap I mean a Nokia 3310 style jobby, something that makes calls, no need for Internet guff! Many Thanks, Ambrose

Scozzie
Hi Ambrose, there is a mobile shop in the airport. It is slightly more expensive than other places. You can get a sim and credit there on arrival or as mentioned above grab one in any supermarket. S x
