Captain Roberto
Hello We are join to organise our shipping from North Wales to Sydney over the next 4 weeks. I shall do a big session reading posts on here - but if anyone can point out the best threads, that would speed things up somewhat. Does a cheaper service mean a poorer service? Movecube's seem good value, but reviews are something of a mixed bag. Obviously we'd like to keep costs as low as possible, but we will also like our stuff to arrive in one piece without a ton of stress. any info useful would be most appreciated
mungbean
There are some recommendations for companies in Wales here: http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/transport-shipping/226317-shipping-company-wales.html
Captain Roberto
The sub £1k options for Movecube appeals to us on price alone. Was hoping there might be other 'value' options. Also - I guess we'd need to work out exactly what we're going to take 1st. Hard to guess really for size isn't it?

Also - I guess we'd need to work out exactly what we're going to take 1st. Hard to guess really for size isn't it? There are a couple of other value options depending on how much you want to move and your time requirements. Ask your preferred removal companies about groupage or part load services if you're moving less than a 20ft container as often this can save you money by sharing the freight costs with their other customers moving to the same area. It' takes a bit longer but if cost is your priority you might be happy to make that compromise? Self packing is also an option to save a little on cost, but make sure you understand what implication this has on insurance with your chosen removals company as some only provide certain levels of cover for owner packed boxes. In terms of guessing your size then best thing to do is shortlist a few removal companies and invite them to do a home survey, it's free and no obligation and the best way to get accurate quotes and volume estimates. Hope that helps.

calNgary
I dont think cheaper necessarily means you will receive a bad (or worse) service than more expensive companys, however it may mean all costs are NOT included so check what is actually covered in your fee's.
