Ozmaniac
Your occuaption is not on the SOL so is not eligible for an Independent visa. It is however on the CSOL and is therefore an eligible occupation for sponsored visas. For a state sponsored visa, it must also be on a state list but it doesn't appear to be listed as eligible by any state so that option is out. That leaves an employer sponsored visa as your only option but you must have found an eligible and willing sponsor before you can apply for a visa so finding a sponsor must be your first step. http://www.immi.gov.au/Work/Pages/SkillSelect/SkillSelect.aspx Employer sponsored visas are 457, 186 and
Jenna1002
Ok thank you. I was hoping that I would fall under Medical Laboratory Scientist as that is basically what I do. Perhaps there is a possibility to take exams or assessments so that I can fall under that category.
Ozmaniac
Medical Laboratory Scientist is assessed by AIMS and you would need to get a positive skills assessment from them before you can nominate that as your occupation. Here's a link to their website if you haven't already checked out their requirements: http://www.aims.org.au/services/aims-assessments
