Chowder Posted August 25, 2016 Share Posted August 25, 2016 6 weeks is fast. Hope you will get the grant after the assessment in this week. I'm really hoping so mate. My HR rang them this morning and she was advised it could take a couple of weeks more. So we'll see if I'll get an update this week. I'll keep everyone posted. Here is the complete reply: "Your application will be assessed this week." "The nomination that was lodged on your behalf is still outstanding. We will not be able to progress your application until the nomination is finalised" My HR didn't use an MA. She lodge the nomination on her end and I lodge the Visa. So I'm happy about the "to be assessed this week" note but worried about the "nomination is still outstanding" Hi Chowder, How to email the IMMI? Through the "contact us" in IMMI account and provide with case reference number? Not sure how long it will take. Others are way faster and some are still waiting for the grant up to this time. Just got auto reply from 457 regarding current processing time. Initial allocation -50 working days (10 weeks), means case will be assigned and assessed. My question is what would happen if my 457 visa application is declined whilst I am out of Australia? would I still be able to return to Australia? Your company must be able to prove that they spend a certain percentage of income on their staffs training, this is the existing staff they can't just say they will do it for you they have to prove they do it already. I can't remember the percentage it has to be but they obviously couldn't prove this or didn't provide enough evidence of this? I think like you say they can appeal but I'm also under the impression that it costs a lot more to appeal? Training Benchmark should be 1% of total wages of company for last 12 months. It should be paid for Australian employee to be trained. Its one of requirements for nomination application your MA should know this. One of my friends nomination was refused because company didn't pay training benchmark. His employer paid the training benchmark And reapplied with 21 days and got nomination approved after 3 months.
