As its our long summer holidays a lot of people will be away from the forum. First of all which State are you looking at they are all different. We have a lot of graduate nurses coming out of university so experience is something that is an advantage and having specialty would make a difference. All our nurses are degree nurses these days. Look at the State nursing requirements and that will give you some help. Many many nurses have migrated here, some find it easy to get work and some a little harder it just depends who is hiring.
