ianderrick86
Hello, I'm thinking about emigrating to Canada from the uk, I have a clean criminal record in the uk. But while I was in Australia on a working holiday visa, I got caught drink driving. How will this affect my application?
Suzukiscottie
Probably best to ask on a Canadian migration forum
Ozmaniac
I don't know how much good it will do you to ask on here as PIO is frequented by people whose interest and experience is related to Australian immigration issues and other aspects of life in Australia. I do however know from other sources that DUI is considered by the Canadians to be an extremely serious offence and people with such convictions are usually inadmissible to Canada, even as tourists. There is a large and very busy Canada immigration forum which will be of much more help to you.
