Sorry, my category would be electrician (special class) my work experience has been working for network rail as a signalling technician this mean maintenance, fault finding and renewals on all infrastructure of the railway from point machines, level crossing, signals, track circuits, interlocking and relay rooms. I worked on voltages ranging from 12v ac/dc to 250 v ac/dc. I had to read electrical schematics and also know about mechanical systems as our infrastructure consisted of both.
After I left there I work on the motorways helping wire up the gantry and speed cameras, where I was running cables in ducts and joining them, also running in the communication cables.
Now I currently work as a multi skilled technician for first great western where I work on different type of locomotives. I'm electrically biased but have to carry out preventive maintenance task on braking systems, engines, electrical and communication systems, air conditioning systems (HVAC) and pneumatic systems. The electrical systems on the trains are 415ac 3 phase, 240v ac, 110v dc. Also work on compressors.
How would I go about sending my certificates off to get checked?
