Aussie Hopeful
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have just returned to the UK (Sept 2014) and completed my 2013/14 tax return before leaving. I asked the tax accountant at the time how I can complete my 2014/15 tax return as I was leaving permanently. He told me that I needed to leave the country first and then I could lodge my return early online. However, I have just been online via MyGov and the MyTax service and it says I am not eligible as I have already lodged my return this year. Has anyone been through this and can anyone advise on how I can go about lodging my 2014/15 tax return from overseas? Thanks Chris

Ellie 2
Perhaps it has something to do with the Tax office dealing with 2013/14 returns until end of March 2015. Individuals who use a tax accountant don't have to lodge until then. I would try again online later.
