Dolly
Not sure if this is the correct Forum for this.. but here goes. We're here at last.. on Parent Visas. Circumstances have made it take a while, but we're here now, with the family. What I'd like to ask is what do we need to do now? Being over 60's we need to get Seniors Cards, find a doctor. Is there anything else that we should be doing? Thanks Dolly
the bottler
get a tax code ... ambulance cover ... Medicare card ... in WA even if you are only two minutes down the road an ambulance will cost over $800.00 if you are not insured ... also need to get an Australian driving license as the UK one can only be used for 3 months ... find a doctor that bulk bills ... Guest
Congrats and welcome to Australia  I can't really think of much to add to bottlers suggestions. Defo the ambulance cover. Worth having no matter what age IMHO.
