Louzie
Hi there, looking for some advice. My three daughters (6,8,10) compete in Shotokan Karate here in the UK - they've been chosen to represent JKS at the world championships in South Africa next year. There doesn't seem to be JkS in Brisbane so we are looking for another federation as similar as possible (JKA??). We'd also love the club to be competitive with squads for national/international competitions. Any suggestions?
calNgary
Hi this link should give you a list of clubs across Brisbane and its surrounds.. http://www.jkakarate.com.au/index.php/locations If you can Google an event calender, you should be able to find archive results which will give you a guide to which are the 'better' clubs, competition wise. Hope this helps Cal x

It is supposed to be none contact and is more sport Karate until you get to the higher grades, then it gets more serious but you train as hard as you want to. Hope this helps.
