Bridging Courses - Nursing

Hi!

 

I would like to ask if anyone has had an experience undergoing Bridging Course for Nurses. Do the schools have regular intake, like the regular schoolyear, or is it continuous throughout the year?

It costs ten grand - and it doesn't guarantee a job as a nurse. I've heard of many O/S nurses who have coughed up for the course and ended up registered with AHPRA but unable to nail a job - they end up working as Carers or AINs.

On completion of the bridging course will all the experience that we have go down the drain ?? Do we start as newly qualified on the OZ pay scales ??
