Sustain
Well I don't know about porn (!), but for a largish town I don't think there's too much to worry about by way of crime (family in the local police force). Drink drivers are probs mostly yummy Mummies in Chelsea tractors driven to despair by their comfortable, pointless existence. LOL certainty did not expect you to on the first item. Wife found it very amusing. Would be keen to spend more time in addition to my walking with cricket and golf clubs. Any comments on the seasons? Autumn Winter Spring Summer My girls would be thrilled for white xmas I can taste cucumber sandwiches and hear willow on leather

Autumn Winter Spring Summer My girls would be thrilled for white xmas I can taste cucumber sandwiches and hear willow on leather I'm originally from the North-East but know North Yorkshire well - actually we thought about working in Leeds/ living in Harrogate ourselves and even went on a reccie but a job in Glasgow came up first. Not sure where/when you last lived in the UK but you are going to experience a fair bit of rain in Yorkshire - there will be idyllic summer days of willow on leather but not that many of them. Winters are generally becoming warmer and wetter so the chance of a white Christmas is remote....I never even experienced one growing up, it's always been a bit of a myth really. We had a story book white Christmas this year but that's because we travelled to the Highlands specifically - since it was our first Christmas back we wanted Christmas on steroids:) I love being back in the UK (and the weather is even colder & wetter in Scotland) but I sense some rose-tinted specs. Where did you live previously in the UK?

Okay so you do need to consider that the weather in North Yorkshire is not as good as West Sussex, those rose tints might need window wipers I thought you built data centres? Why do you need rain?? If you want a white Christmas it's certainly easy enough to travel for one - we went to Aviemore

If you want a white Christmas it's certainly easy enough to travel for one - we went to Aviemore Agree about the window wipers :daydreaming: But we are in the start of a long term planning session and as things come up we will adapt or change. However the things others find negative are actually positive or reflect the fundamental reasons we are seeking a return. The priority for us is really: - Education/Health/Wellbeing - People/culture/food/history The rain is important because the data centres are fully powered by renewable resources. Part of that resource includes dairy and fish farms. Dairy cows require at least 100 litres of water per day. Our average herd are around 12,000 animals. jasepom
You do get plenty of bad weather in Yorshire. The winter months can be a shock after Oz and gum boots are a necessity. So you've had enough of Melbourne then ?

Compare it to the nz waikato. I was happy there and it has terrible weather. Would you be happy with a good job and bigger house in harrogate? Answer honestly not defensively would this make a difference to you? And your family.
