Employer happy to nominate for PR but need to wait the full 2 years.. If we apply for PR just now by ourselves would the year and a half in a Regional town help our scores.. Rupert Posted May 24, 2014 Share Posted May 24, 2014 If you look at the points test, I think you will find there are points available for one years of Australian experience in your nominated occupation. No the process does not go any quicker for being in Australia. For some visas the process will go slower if you apply in Australia, but I don't think it makes any difference for the skilled migrant visas.
