Pros and cons living on Gold Coast

Hi we're moving to Gold Coast after living rural qld, any recommendations area to live and public schools please, I love where we live now it's so safe and friendly but not much to do for teenagers I've read so many old posts on internet my head hurts, honest opinions welcome x

Coomera/pimpama/Ormeau area is good, half way between The Gold Coast beaches and Brisbane. There is also a train direct into Brisbane. Talking of a teenager you must be refering to Public High Schools. I would not recommend Upper Coomera College, Have a look at The brand new Pimpama State High school have heard good things about the facilities at the school but you need to be in the catchment area https://pimpamassc.eq.edu.au/Pages/default.aspx. There is also Ormeau Woods High sorry dont know much about that school except it opened in 2009.You will find everything you need and more in these areas, shops, sports, medical all close at hand. This whole area is growing at an amazing speed Pimpama is now seeing new estates popping up. There are some not so nice parts of Upper Coomera so take the time to look around. The Brooks Estate in Pimpama is brand new, and close to Pimpama state high.
