Graphic Designer looking to migrate

Hi,

i am new to the forum and have just started researching into migrating to australia.

i am a graphic designer with 9 years experience. I see that this occupation is on the CSOL.

 

Can anyone offer me advice on the best way to presue migration.

I believe that I will have to get my skills assessed by VETASSESS. Is this correct. I am going to go through the EOI process on the immigration website too.

 

Does anyone know of any specialist recruiters that might be able to assist me?

If your occupation is only on the CSOL then you will need sponsorship. There are two options for sponsorship - company and state. State is by far the better option as usually company results in only a temporary visa and has a number of restrictions.

 

So, the next step is to check out the different states and see if any are sponsoring

I looked on each of the states websites, and none are sponsoring at the moment... which doesn't look great. Do you know when they update their sponsor requirements?

Fairly regularly, 1st of July is usually a good bet

How old are you? If you're under thirty you could get a WHV.

 

Could you then come out on a working holiday visa and hook up company sponsorship during that year?

 

I came originally on a WHV and I came home but during that year I was offered a couple of sponsored roles.

 

I am web designer/art director working in digital sector.
