Odd Jobs in Melbourne

Any idea how to find odd jobbs here in Melbourne?

 

I have applied to numerous postings on Seek, no callback. At this point, I am open to jobs in retail, reception, etc. It seems everything needs a certificate, but I still want to try my luck. I am waiting for my assessment from AHPRA but based on forum posts it might come at least six months from now.

I wouldnt bother with Seek , lots of smaller companys advertise in smaller local papers and shop windows, also dont be afraid of cold calling places to see if they need anyone. Gumtree sometimes has some jobs on there but be aware of scams on there.

 

Hope you find something soon and dont be put off by the lack of replies, it seems to be normal here to not get replies if your not successful.

Thanks for the reply. There's a coffee shop near where we live that's looking for staff who "must be experienced in coffee and sandwich making."

 

I'm neither. When they post something like that, is it right to assume it's an absolute requirement?
