Hi to all, migrating to Brisbane end November 11

The PR visa finally arrived after 20+ months. Exciting and scary at the same time. My wife and I have sold the house and renting with half our items in cardboard boxes. We are battling with all the stuff I suppose all migrants do. What to take or sell, do we take our new car (bought 27 November 13) Will I sell or keep the business going. Retirement is bitter sweet but the good news is male golf handicap starts at 36 (that could be good for me!).

Just a quick opener and all advice will be welcomed. Luckily we do have an apartment in central Brisbane which is our first port of call but then we need to decided where to live....so many decisions!!

We're moving to Brisbane in September and are going through the same conversations. First we were going to look at a move cube and only take the necessities. Now we are wondering whether a container would be better and take furniture too!!

Good luck with everything!!

Hi and thanks for reply. We have sold our house and we have filled up our rented 3 bed and loads left over. Furniture, garden furniture and garden maintenance kit, my garage tools (had them forever) ornaments, pictures, books, crockery and TV's, HiFi equipment just about everything that can be accumulated over 40+ years. I plan to take my car I bought it 27th Nov 2013 and we arrive in Brisbane 2nd Dec this year. All I know is we are not taking our wardrobes!

I will check if the TV's are worldwide but apart from, what should I leave behind?
