clairejs83
Hi, has anybody applied to have their IELTS marks reassessed? I got my results online this morning and just missed the 7bench mark in just the reading aspect is it worth asking for a re- marking of it or just bite the bullet do some more revision and retake the whole test?? other results were listening 8 speaking 8 writing 7 and then the dreaded result of 6.5 for reading. Ozmaniac
Reading and listening questions are completely objective - they're either right or wrong so asking for a re-mark is almost certainly a waste of time.
Sen
You won't get a revaluation for the reading, nor listening, part because the answers are explicit and clear.
Mrs Keeneyboy
Hi, my husband had his remarked as he achieved 7.5 in writing and needed an 8. He opted to also re sit the test, as well as request a remark as this can take upto 6wks to process. If the remark is upgraded, your fee is returned (for the re mark). The upgrade result came through just 2 days before the re sit result! Ironically, his re sit gained him all 9's and and an 8.5 and his re mark was upgraded to an 8!! Time was really against us for lodging, hence our reason for going this route. However, I'm unsure as to whether a remark can be applied for anything other than writing. Hope this helps.
