Jamesd21
Hi, I have had great news that my company want to sponsor me with a 457 visa however i am having a little trouble trying to sort everything out. I am not sure if i am required to take a skill assessment for the 457 visa. I am a fully qualified motor mechanic. If anyone has gone through the 457 visa process any tips would be great as i don't want to mess up the paper work. Thanks James

Whether you would be required to undertake a skills assessment for a 457 visa depends on your nationality. If you are a UK citizen, then no. debbie lawrence
Hi my husband didn't need a skills assessment for his 457 as a panel beater but bear in mind if you decide when your here to go for Direct Entry 186 before the 2 years you will need one so make sure you bring all your paperwork with you.
