I also thought it may be a counterbalance to some of the other threads on the forum that are about those seeking refuge (though this project is not aimed at refugees per se). Although it is currently only being run in Sydney, if the project is a success it will be rolled out to other States and cities. http://www.joiningthedots.org/initiatives/dsp-initiative.cfm?loadref=103&id=101 Personally, I think it's a lovely idea - sharing food, cultures and ideas and meeting people who are interested in those from other countries. I will share this on my Facebook for my Aussie humanitarians to see..mainly in Sydney. done.. I have tagged some colleagues into it who work at one of the biggest humanitarian organisations going..you never know who might see it! Wish your friend good luck.
