calNgary
Im sure there are a few videos on You Tube showing some of the floods in the area from when it was last hit, as far as i am aware it was the areas surrounding the lake and creeks that couldnt cope with the amount of water that came down. Hopefully someone will be along soon who lives there and can list the exact streets that were badly affected. Cal x
manchester lass
thank you for replying yep just had a look at them, ok will cross that area off my list. It must have been awful for everyone xxxx
calNgary
I wouldnt cross it off or rule it out just yet, lots of areas can be affected by floods but sometimes it may only be 3 or 4 streets out of an entire suburb. Its still worth looking at and speaking with the real estate agents if the area does tick your boxes. Cal x
thegigg5
Varsity Lakes wasn't badly affected by the floods at all. I assume you are talking about the tail end of the cyclone that hit the GC in early 2013... Bit of inconvenience on some of the roads around Varsity and Robina for 2 or 3 days was pretty much it. I wouldn't cross it off your list! What's you shortlist by the way?
